Czech companies are still getting used to generative AI. They are afraid primarily of inaccuracies in the information generated and loss of company data

Roughly half of large Czech companies have not yet fully addressed generative AI. A total of 21% of firms allow unrestricted use of ChatGPT, while 20% limit it with internal regulations (6% employ strict regulations). Companies are most concerned about inaccuracy in the information generated and loss or misuse of company data.

Czech companies are still getting used to generative AI (artificial intelligence that can generate text, images, or videos, for example, ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.). This was revealed in research conducted by Blindspot Solutions, a member of the Adastra Group, among top managers of large domestic companies across the business spectrum.

“Market data shows that about half of Czech corporations allow the use of generative AI – some of them without any restrictions at all,” says Blindspot Solutions CEO Ondřej Vaněk, who specializes in the development and implementation of AI solutions.

According to top managers, the main advantages of generative AI include process automation and significant time savings. “In the near future, business will benefit from it the most. For example, it will facilitate building an excellent customer experience, creating custom ChatGPT apps, establishing internal knowledge managers, simplifying online shopping, and managing personal finances. The potential of generative AI is huge,” says Ondřej, adding that companies have yet to prepare themselves for it. “The key is to evangelize leaders, review the existing AI strategy and create new business scenarios in which companies can implement generative AI,” he explains.

The business potential is huge. Czech companies plan to leverage it more in the next year

Up to 99% of firms are considering using generative AI more intensively in the next twelve months. Most of them want to utilize it to generate content, for example, to write articles. Up to 57% of corporations will leverage its potential for customer support and chatbots. A total of 55% want to build their internal knowledge base with its help.

“With regard to generative AI, firms are most afraid of the consequences of inaccuracies in the information generated, loss or misuse of company data, and the lack of transparency and control over generative AI,” says Blindspot Solutions CTO Štěpán Kopřiva. According to Štěpán, ecosystems and products that use ChatGPT in particular are currently growing vigorously around the world.

“Soon, these ecosystems will be subject to consolidation, integration, and regulation too. We can certainly expect many companies to shift some human work, especially regarding back-office or non-client-facing activity, to AI so that employees can focus on value-added tasks, such as communicating with clients,” adds Štěpán Kopřiva.
