Meet our team: Julia, Business Analyst

Today’s “Meet our team” Q&A series is dedicated to Julia. Previously a marketer from Ukraine, Julia attended the Adastra Academy for a month upon joining our Bratislava office. This enabled her to gain the practical skills necessary to start in her role as a Business Analyst and become an important part of the Alfa Team. Find out about her insights from the Adastra Academy, her first months with the company, as well as her current project developing prototypes.

What do you currently do at Adastra? Could you tell us about your team and recent projects?

I'm part of the Alfa Team and I am currently working on the EBS project as a Business Analyst. I have been involved in this project mainly through prototype development. Recently I have got into bug fixing of the prototypes, which I enjoy.

When did you join Adastra?

I've been an Adastran since May 2022, time flies!

How would you describe your first months at Adastra?

Exciting! It was fun meeting everyone, getting to know the company, its values and processes. I am grateful for having been given the opportunity to put my passion for data into practice and gain new skills.

Since joining Adastra, my duties have never been the same. Each time there is something new to learn, because everything keeps moving very fast here. For instance, I was working with the team on preparing data for the EBS applications. We've just finished that part of the project and swiftly moved on to a new one. I'm currently working on designing prototypes based on business inputs. I would say that the design of the structure and tables and bug fixing are my daily routines.

From the beginning, my team has been very helpful. If I have questions or doubts they happily support me. Also, Adastra Academy was a really good start. It has helped me to not only understand the technical part of the job, but I've also met a lot of smart and great people with warm hearts as a result of it.

What was your career background before joining us?

I worked as a marketer before. Whilst it was a great experience at the time, I was ready for a new challenge.
