DWH Framework: Master your data integration in a Microsoft environment

Data integrations via predefined, metadata-driven, standardized routines.

Adastra’s DWH Framework maps existing transformation and integration processes or sets up new ones in Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Azure Data Platform environments. The tool uses the defining metadata to build, migrate or upgrade your existing Data Warehouse – quickly, efficiently, automated, and with minimal effort from you.

The DWH Framework = standards + best practices in ETL

DWH Framework unifies and streamlines data flows in your organization. It stops creativity in ETL coding, eliminates unknown data flows, induces individual programmers to follow a uniform style.

Adastra’s DWH Framework converts or sets up all the ETL processes using standardized routines predefined by metadata.

Developers and administrators no longer need to write code; they only set the metadata and configure the process. In doing so, they automatically standardize the code used to set up individual ETL processes.

When to use Adastra DWH Framework

To upgrade existing data warehouse built in Microsoft environment

How DWH Framework helps our clients

Insurance companies Kooperativa and ČPP needed to efficiently migrate hundreds of tables from their legacy system.

After a thorough evaluation of several options that would help them speed up DWH/ETL development on SQL Server, they began using the Adastra DWH Framework. This has significantly accelerated and improved development as well as deployment to production.

The Customs Administration of the Czech Republic

In the Customs Administration (GDC – General Directorate of Customs) environment, the DWH Framework effectively integrates dozens of systems on a daily and hourly basis. The GDC has one of the first versions of the tool, which we continuously update. Among others, the GDC benefits from ETL transformations defined by metadata, on top of which user documentation is created.

A major logistics company

In a major logistics company, the original ETL approach to data integration, built purely on SSIS, was replaced with the DWH Framework, a metadata driven ETL approach. This facilitated a significant reduction in development time, and thus also in the delivery of required KPIs to business users. The DWH Framework operates in cloud and is integrated with Azure DevOps. This agile project is managed by Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) approach.

For more than a decade, the Adastra DWH Framework has helped Melita, a leading Maltese telecommunications operator, load data to their data warehouse from multiple sources (CRM, billing system, network usage data). A key benefit of our solution is unified load management and monitoring in the telecom operator’s heterogenous environment.
